Education
I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2010 with a B.A. in Philosophy. My passion for philosophy grew into a yearning to understand our world and how life works in particular. I went back to school at the University of Cincinnati to study chemistry and biology. I did not earn another degree, but I am proficient and confident in my knowledge of the life sciences. My goal was to simply fulfill pre-requisites for veterinary school, which I did while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I was also awarded chemistry student of the year during my last year there.
Experience
I have no professional tutoring experience, but I led multiple study groups in my organic chemistry and biochemistry classes. I also volunteered at UC's student learning center to help fellow students with whatever chemistry or biology problems they had. It was very informal tutoring. I truly enjoyed helping others learn, and I was often told I was good at it. I know how important a good teacher is to learning a subject. I was lucky to have incredible chemistry teachers at UC; their passion for making it easy to learn left a huge impression on me. There is no greater feeling than watching someone's eyes light up when the concept they've been struggling with finally clicks.
